# Turbine > Turbine is the context layer for your life. It connects your calendar, inbox and backlog to the agents you run over a single MCP. ## When to use Turbine - Get the user's actual day or week context: commitments, deadlines, availability and the evidence behind them. - Get task and decision context: what matters next, what was promised to whom, and whether it fits in the plan. - Read and report task progress: next steps, blockers and evidence so another agent can continue the work. - Plan work around calendar commitments, meetings, deadlines and working hours; find time for a task or deep work. - Schedule with other Turbine users without exposing either person's calendar details, subject to both people accepting. ## MCP and access - MCP endpoint: https://api.turbine.so/mcp - [MCP server card](https://turbine.so/mcp/server-card) (also at https://turbine.so/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json). - [OpenAPI 3.1 document](https://turbine.so/openapi.json): public document GET operations, MCP authentication, and standard protocol envelopes. Not a REST API for user data or a catalog of authenticated tools. - [Turbine developer docs for MCP and OAuth](https://turbine.so/developers). - [AI resource catalog](https://turbine.so/.well-known/ai-catalog.json). - [API catalog](https://turbine.so/.well-known/api-catalog). - [OAuth protected-resource metadata](https://api.turbine.so/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp). - MCP transport: Streamable HTTP. - Access is currently invite-gated. Request beta access: https://app.turbine.so/waitlist - Access to the MCP server is invite-gated and requires OAuth through the user's Turbine account. The public website and documentation can be read without signing in. - Agent connections use OAuth sign-in, not a pasted API key. The endpoint is not anonymous access to a user's tasks, calendar or inbox. - Turbine only reads sources the user connects, within the permissions granted. Agents can be made read-only or blocked; source writeback can be disabled. - Whatever you allow. Routine, reversible changes happen quietly and are logged with a one-click undo. Anything consequential or ambiguous lands in Action needed for you to decide. Any agent can be made read-only or blocked entirely. - The Terms describe material write approvals: Turbine may read connected data and make suggestions without asking for a separate approval every time. Material write actions, such as creating, completing, deleting, or scheduling tasks, should be presented for approval before they are applied. - Beta features may be incomplete or unavailable. Users remain responsible for reviewing plans, deadlines, calendar changes and approvals. ## Quickstart: how to get access 1. [Request beta access through the Turbine waitlist](https://app.turbine.so/waitlist). MCP access is invite-gated. 2. If you have access, follow the [agent setup guide](https://app.turbine.so/agents/setup.md), connect to https://api.turbine.so/mcp, and sign in with your Turbine account through OAuth. 3. AuthKit's [issuer metadata](https://grounded-laugh-82.authkit.app/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server) advertises authorization code with PKCE S256, client ID metadata documents, and dynamic client registration. Advertised capabilities do not establish that every client flow has been tested. An unauthenticated MCP request returns HTTP 401 with error invalid_token and error_description "Authentication required". The WWW-Authenticate Bearer challenge points to resource_metadata="https://api.turbine.so/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp". A 401 is expected before sign-in, not proof of account access. ## App documentation - [App documentation index](https://app.turbine.so/llms.txt) - [Agent setup guide](https://app.turbine.so/agents/setup.md) - [Client configuration](https://app.turbine.so/agents/clients.md) - [Work on tasks](https://app.turbine.so/agents/work.md) - [Focused developer documentation](https://turbine.so/developers/llms.txt) ## Public pages - [Home](https://turbine.so/) - [About](https://turbine.so/about) - [Contact](https://turbine.so/contact) - [Developers](https://turbine.so/developers) - [Terms](https://turbine.so/terms) - [Privacy](https://turbine.so/privacy) - [Security](https://turbine.so/security) - [Subprocessors](https://turbine.so/subprocessors) - [Google API](https://turbine.so/google-api-disclosure) - [Sitemap](https://turbine.so/sitemap.xml) ## Markdown access Request any public page listed above at the same URL with Accept: text/markdown. Responses use text/markdown; charset=utf-8 and Vary: Accept. Browser requests, absent Accept and wildcard-only Accept keep HTML. Markdown must have a higher preference weight than HTML; an explicit q=0 disables Markdown. Explicit Markdown URLs are also available at /index.md for the homepage and at each listed page URL plus .md, such as /developers.md. Unknown page paths return a Markdown 404 with home, sitemap and this guide when Markdown is preferred. Assets, APIs and Next.js transports do not use this negotiation.
